This page explains how The Wooden Stars handles corrections, what our standards are, and where to take a question we are not the right people to answer.
We do not currently run a contact form
We would rather say that plainly than publish an address that nobody reads. There is no message form on this page and no email address listed, because we do not yet have a monitored inbox for this site.
That is a gap and we know it. Until it is closed, everything below is what we can honestly offer — our correction standard, what we do when we get something wrong, and where the answerable questions actually belong.
Corrections are the thing we most want
Almost everything on this site is numbers: mattress dimensions, slat gaps, Janka figures, clearances, cabinet depths. Numbers can be wrong, and a wrong number on a buying guide costs somebody real money.
When we find an error — or when one is pointed out to us through any route — we fix it on the page itself rather than quietly deleting the claim, and we change the “last reviewed” date so you can see the page moved.
Two things make an error easy to act on, and they are worth noting if you ever do reach us:
- Which page — the address, or enough of the title to find it.
- What the right figure is, and where it comes from. A manufacturer’s published specification beats anything we wrote.
Questions we are not the right people to answer
A large share of the questions a site like this attracts are really questions for somebody else, and sending them to us only adds a delay.
“Will this specific product fit my room?”
Take the dimensions from the product listing itself and measure your space. Our guides tell you which measurements matter and why; the listing tells you what that particular item actually is. Where the two disagree, believe the listing.
“Is this item in stock, and when will it arrive?”
Only the retailer knows. We do not hold stock, ship anything, or have visibility of any order.
“My order is wrong or damaged”
This goes to the retailer you bought from. We are not a party to your purchase and cannot see it — the relationship is explained in our affiliate disclosure.
“Can you review my product?” or “Will you add a link to my site?”
We do not accept paid placements, sponsored posts, guest articles or link exchanges. Products appear here because they fit the article, and that policy is set out in the editorial policy.
What our pages already answer
Before looking for a way to reach us, these four pages cover most of what people write in about:
- About The Wooden Stars — who writes this, what we test and what we do not, and how the guides are built.
- Editorial policy — how products are chosen, how we handle prices and specifications, what we will not do for money.
- Affiliate disclosure — how this site earns, what a commission does and does not change, and why prices on our pages may lag the retailer.
- Privacy policy — what this site collects, which is very little, and what it does not.
On prices and specifications
Prices shown on our pages come from Amazon and are stamped with the time they were read. They go out of date, sometimes within hours. The price on the retailer’s page at the moment you check out is the only one that counts, and we have no way to influence or correct it.
Specifications are taken from manufacturer listings. Manufacturers restate them, and occasionally get them wrong. Where we quote a figure that a listing contradicts, the listing is the one to trust for that item — and we would rather know about the discrepancy than not.
Business details
The Wooden Stars is an independent publication. It is not a shop, it does not take payments, it holds no customer accounts and it ships nothing. Every purchase you make after leaving this site is a contract between you and the retailer.
If you are contacting us in a legal or rights capacity — a takedown, a licensing question, a data request under the privacy policy — that is exactly the case this page currently cannot serve, and we would ask you to treat the absence of a channel as an oversight being worked on rather than an evasion.
When this changes
When a monitored address is in place, it will be listed here and this page will say so. Until then we have chosen to leave the space honest and empty rather than fill it with a form that would drop your message.
