Privacy Policy
This page explains what data this site collects and why. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
- Analytics. We use analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. This records the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used. It is not tied to your name.
- Comments. If you leave a comment, the name, email address and comment text you submit are stored, along with your IP address, so we can moderate spam. Your email address is never published or sold.
- Server logs. Our host records standard web-server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies
This site sets a cookie to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. Analytics may set its own cookies. If you leave a comment, WordPress may set cookies so you do not have to re-type your details next time.
Affiliate links
Links to retailers on this site carry a tracking tag so the retailer knows the visit came from us. The retailer — most often Amazon — may then set its own cookies on its own site. What they do with that is governed by their privacy policy, not ours. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not ask for any personal information beyond what a comment form needs.
Your choices
You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though it will forget your theme preference. If you have left a comment and want it and its associated data removed, ask us and we will delete it.
